Another layout

This was my project for the day. I really had fun working on this. I inked, I sanded, I JOURNALED!!!! This idea actually came from the BH Sketches 2 book. I knew I wanted to use this photo and these papers but I just couldn't come up with a layout so I turned to Becky Higgins - she never fails me!

The subject of my layout is, of course, my best pal, Sandi, but the photo was actually taken by another one of my very good friends, Renee. Thanks Renee!!!

I probably would've had this done in half the time it actually took me, but the dogs are still driving me crazy. LOL! Keely keeps rolling her ball under my desk and then I have to crawl under there and get it back for her. Ahh, the joys of having furry children......

Doing a happy dance!

Today was a GOOD day!

The sun was shining for most of the day so I got to go out and play with my dogs. They finally got to run off some of that excess energy they had stored up from the past several rainy days. The air outside is scented with my Korean Lilac bushes and they smell so yummy! My peonies are just getting ready to burst open. I will be ready with my camera when they do.

To end my happy day I got a note from Jen at Ready, Set, Create and she is picking up 5 of my layouts to publish in her e-zine!!! I am BEYOND excited!!!!!

Now for the rest of the week I have to gear up for this weekend. Kassie's 15th birthday party is Saturday and we are being invaded by teenagers.....HELP!!!!!! I'm sure she will hate it - but I will be lurking around every corner with my camera taking tons of pictures. One day she will thank me, right? Right?????

Finally!

I finally got a page scrapped! I've actually scrapped this photo before but I like this layout much better than the first time. I actually painted on my layout, too. I've never done that before but I think it added a nice touch.

OK, it's been a few days since I've posted and I won't even get into all the "wonderful" things that have been going on here in my house. I am determined to turn this corner!!! I am in a very scrappy mood today, so I am going to run some errands and come back and play. No destination in mind - I'm just going to wander down the creativity path and see where it leads me.

I've reached my crazy quotient!!!

It has been a CRAZY day!!! I won't bore you with all the details - but all I can say is "WHEW!!!!". I'm glad this day is over. It's time for me to find peace in my world again and I know I will. I can do anything with the wonderful group of friends that I have. They are my strength and my inspiration - they love me because they can (and they want to! LOL!) It's great to know that they are just a phone call or a keyboard away.

Tomorrow is a new day and I will treat it as that...a new day. I will put away my scrap stuff from the weekend, pack away the "baggage" from the past couple of days and then go out and enjoy the sunshine with my puppies!

Hail! Hail! The gang's all here!!

Here is the gang from the ICS! Slumber Crop weekend. We had SO MUCH fun!!! It is definitely a weekend I will never forget. I know there were some lifelong friendships forged during our time together.

First day of May....

Well, here it is - the beginning of May. Kinda a dreary day. I'm ready for the sun to shine and for it to be warm so I can go out and take some great spring pictures.
